Day 4 of Valium...

This weekend has been exhausting, to say the least.  This evening, I'm a wreck.  I feel like I've been hit by a truck.  My emotions are everywhere.  A few hours ago, I went from laughing to crying in seconds! My poor baby is so drugged! It's scary.  Judy seems like she's in another world, not all there.  Her eyes are really the worst.  Maybe the Valium helped a little today, maybe?!? Still, I would think it would help a lot more.  But is it even worth it?!? Poor Judy isn't all there when she's on it.  What am I doing to my baby? I feel crazy.  CRAZY!  I will be discussing this w/ the Riley doctor tomorrow.   :(

She does smile sometimes! :)
PS- Thanks for all your support! Really this has just been a great place for me to vent, and unload.  Thanks for being on this journey with me! It's nice to know how loved and cared for we are!!

  1. I'm so sorry. We have a baby with sever food allergies and she was super fussy and didn't sleep for forever.

I'm sure you've tried everything. So, I'm merely spitballing. While they wait for the RA results to come back, can you give her Fish Oil supplements? It's supposed to reduce inflammation. And it's old for your anyway. I think Nordic Naturals is the company that makes a really yummy orange flavored chewy supplement.

You're doing all the right things. You're trying, and searching. You're human. It's only normal to be frustrated. Hang in there.

  3. Hi Courtney,

I have been thinking about you and baby Judy all day. I'm Dawn, your mom's old roommate from TU. I was Sunny's roommate too! I'm the one who lives in NJ! I gave your mom some ideas tonight which she'll share with you. I found this great website tonight which has some interesting blogs & info. sharing sites attached to it. http://www.undiagnosed-usa.org/factsheet.htm I was looking for good diagnostic check lists for you to use to take to the doctor. Even though you are getting great assistance from Riley, you are Judy's best advocate - even if you are exhausted, worried, scared.... There is nobody who loves their baby - even a crying, frazzled baby - like a mom!!!!!!! Your honesty is gonna help you find answers more quickly.... You guys are definitely in my prayers!!!! Love, Dawn

  5. I am just curious what type of neurological tests they did. I don't see that mentioned and I feel that could be the key here. Plus, when she had the fever did they test her for a urinary tract infection?

Also, keep in mind kids feed off of the behavior of others so if someone is stressed out around them they feel it whether the child is non-verbal or not. My daughter is non-verbal and disabled and can sense stress which will impact her behavior negatively.
